Dinner in the City

Last night several of us met for dinner on Brigade Road - given the construction and Saturday evening traffic, it's a wonder any of us made it there on time. It was a great evening as most of us have worked together in one way or another for five years (we had a few new personnel, too - so had to bring them into the fold). As we were crossing the street to the restaurant, I noticed the above sign.....not quite sure what to think of that one, but as the saying goes in India 'it is what it is'.

The food was great - dumplings, chili chicken/pork, fried rice, hunan chicken, etc - and several pitchers of Kingfisher. One of our US colleagues was with us and was amazed at A) the traffic, B) how much food we ate, and C) the camaraderie of the team.

After we got back to the apartment, I called the hubby and chatted with him...he was trying to escape the 100+ temperatures in Abu Dhabi so spent the day at the mall and saw the new Potter flick (he enjoyed it other than the Filipino family with several children that had to get up and pee every 30 minutes). We're looking forward to being together on Friday for a week in DFW and then back home to Amsterdam for a couple weeks of holiday!
